It is mostly used as a ground attack aircraft, but it can also act as a fighter to defend itself with two Sidewinder AIM-9L air-to-air missiles, which can be mounted on the wing hardpoints. As a great bomber aircraft, it has proven itself over and over again in missions, all over the world, including in the 1991 Gulf War plus in other Middle East operations and in the Balkans.
