Tupolev Tu-160 Russian Bomber - "Blackjack"

Heaviest and most powerful bomber ever created, Russian (soviet) Tu-160. This so called strategic bomber was built during the Cold War as a respond so B-1B. But Tu-160 was not only mass and power but also a very sophisticated bomber. It is powered by four 25,000kg (55,025lb) turbofans, mounted in pairs, which are capable of thrusting this bomber up to Mach 2. The "swing wing" system also does its part, providing optimal performance, at all speeds, using angles in range from 20 to 65 degrees. Aircraft is managed by four-crew personal: two pilots, navigator and electronic systems operator. Pilots fly the Tu-160 using a flying stick which is primarily used by fighter aircraft. Using the terrain-following radar, Tu-160 could carry out missions at high speeds at low altitudes. It has no defensive armament but it can carry up to 12 Kh-55, Kh-15 or a nuclear bomb. That sums up to 16,500kg (36,316lb) of heavy armament. From 1984 when first produced, Tu-160 played an important role in service until the collapse of USSR in 1991.
Initial production number of Tu-160 bomber aircraft was 100, but only 36 have been built due to Strategic
Arms Limitation restrictions.
